THE TREATMENT
A.- NON-PHARMACOLOGICAL TREATMENT
When the migraine sufferer feels that they are in the
prodromic phase (the phase that occurs before the aura and cephalea phases),
and that a migraine attack is imminent, it is a good idea for them to take physical medication and to take appropriate steps aimed at reducing the effects of the attack, especially the pain that they suffer during the cephalea phase.
These measures can help them to fall asleep more easily and to wake up already in the resolution phase of the attack.
1.- Eating very salty foods.
2.- Applying continuous pressure to the superficial temporal arteries, in the temple area.
3.- When they feel relief from the pain, relaxing and staying in a dark, quiet place.
